WHERE CAN I SHOP LOCAL ROOT ITEMS?

We offer free shipping over $80 and complimentary gift wrapping for all orders.

Do you have gift certificates?

Yes! We offer gift certificates that can be used in-store in both Local Root and Didriks as well as online. Gift certificates are also valid for knife sharpening. You can shop them here.

ARe local root and didriks the same store?

Local Root is a sister store to Didriks. At Local Root you can shop all items kitchen - including cookware, bakeware, and cook’s tools. Local Root also provides our professional knife sharpening service. At Didriks you can shop tableware, glassware, linens, decor and more. You can find both stores together at both of our retail locations.

KNIFE SHARPENING - What is the knife sharpening turnaround?

Our turnaround for knife sharpening is 48 hours. They are guaranteed to be ready 2 days after drop-off, unless otherwise specified.

KNIFE SHARPENING - where is it done?

Rest assured, we do not ship your knives off to any other facilities for our sharpening service. All knives are sharpened in-house.

KNIFE SHARPENING - What equipment do you use?

For wet-sharpening we use a professional water-cooled sharpening machine from Friedr Dick. Our whetstone service is done on water stones. Learn more about our services here.

KNIFE SHARPENING - Can you sharpen my serrated knives?

Yes! As of October 2019, Local Root now offers sharpening for serrated knives.

KNIFE SHARPENING - Can you sharpen my kitchen shears/scissorS?

Unfortunately, we do not offer sharpening for these items at this time.
